Our emergency call out service covers urgent plumbing and heating problems that could cause damage, leave your home without essential services or create a safety concern.

  • A burst pipe or major leak can cause significant damage in a short space of time. We will advise you on how to isolate the water where possible, then attend to make the problem safe and complete the necessary repair.

  • Water coming through a ceiling can point to a leaking pipe, bathroom fitting, tank or heating system above. Keep away from any affected electrical fittings and call us so we can help identify and stop the source.

  • If your boiler has stopped working and left you without heating or hot water, we can investigate the fault and explain the available repair options. Where a permanent repair cannot be completed during the first visit, we will make the system safe and explain the next step clearly.

£150 for the first hour

An emergency call out applies when:

  • You need attendance after 6pm

  • The issue requires us to leave a planned job to attend

  • There is an active leak, flooding or risk of further damage

  • Essential heating, hot water or plumbing services have failed

  • There is a potential safety concern

Parts and materials are charged separately where required. We will explain what is needed and confirm the likely cost before carrying out additional work wherever possible.

How our emergency call outs work

  • Tell us what has happened, when it started and whether the water or appliance has been isolated. We will also ask for your postcode, photographs where useful and details of anyone vulnerable in the property.

  • We will explain any safe steps you can take to reduce damage while you wait. This may include turning off the stop tap, switching off an appliance or keeping away from affected electrics.

  • We will let you know whether we can attend, provide a realistic estimated arrival time and confirm the emergency call out rate before travelling.

  • Once on site, we will inspect the issue, identify the likely cause and take the necessary steps to stop further damage. We will explain what we find without drowning you in trade jargon, a small mercy during an already unpleasant evening.

  • Where possible, we will complete the repair during the visit. If specialist parts or further work are required, we will leave the system safe and provide clear advice or a quote for completing the job.

What to do before we arrive

Plumbing emergencies can be stressful, but taking the right action early can make a real difference. Only follow these steps where it is safe to do so.

  • Locate your internal stop tap and turn it clockwise to shut off the water supply. It is commonly found under the kitchen sink, beneath the stairs, in a utility room or close to where the main water pipe enters your home.

  • If the problem involves a boiler, washing machine, dishwasher or another appliance, switch it off if you can reach it safely. Do not remove panels or attempt to repair gas or electrical components yourself.

  • Do not touch sockets, switches or appliances where water is present. If it is safe to access the consumer unit without entering the affected area, switch off the electricity and contact the appropriate emergency service where necessary.

  • Move furniture and valuables away from the affected area. Use towels, buckets or containers to collect water while you wait, but do not put yourself at risk to protect belongings.
